On April 10-11, 2019, Columbia University’s Harriman Institute hosted the conference, “Lessons from the Ground: Framing and Interpreting Human Rights in the Balkans,” organized by Tanya Domi, Adjunct Professor of International and Public Affairs. The event included a keynote address by Emir Suljagic and a film screening of “Uspomene 677” (“677 Memories”), directed by Mirko Pincelli.

IMBiH Ambassador Sabina Sackett, as a Columbia University staff member, and IMBiH Board Member Sarah Wagner, of George Washington University, attended the conference. Sarah also presented on the panel, “Researching between the Lines: The Future of Engaged Scholarship.”
